Biography: Richard B. Kaner is a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, a fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and a recipient of the Bauck-Whitney Awards from the American Chemical Society. His research focuses on the synthesis and preparation of refractory materials, including ceramics, intercalation compounds, superhard materials, graphene, and conductive polymers.
