Biography: Lara C. Roll currently serves as a a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow in the WOPP group at KU Leuven, Belgium, and anextraordinary researcher at North-West University (South Africa). Her research focuses on the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on employees’ perceptions of their occupations' future. She has published multiple high-level journal papers in publications such as Applied Psychology and Economic and Industrial Democracy. She has contributed chapters to several books and has frequently delivered reports at major international conferences including theAnnual Meeting of the Academy of Management. She has long served as a reviewer for core journals like Applied Psychology. In 2018, she served as the Internal Examiner for the master’s program at North-West University, South Africa. In 2020, she was the External Examiner for PhD candidates at the University of South Africa. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Vice President of the German think tank Algoright, promoting academic exchange and research development.

Abstract: The development of AI has not only brought about technological innovation but has also triggered a systematic restructuring of management philosophies, organizational models, and decision-making mechanisms, fundamentally impacting individual career development paths. As a core driver of a new wave of technological revolution, AI has not only spawned new industries and job positions but is also profoundly transforming the work content, skill requirements, and value creation methods of traditional professions. This transformation is a double-edged sword, creating opportunities while simultaneously posing challenges and new demands for career development. This report aims to systematically explore the new landscape of career development in this era of technological revolution.
