Recently, WUT was invited to attend the 2024 Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (AMBA & BGA) Global Conference held in Budapest, Hungary. Over 400 representatives from more than a hundred business schools worldwide gathered to discuss the latest trends and development of management education. Vice President Luo Rong of WUT attended the conference and participated in the award ceremony.
AMBA & BGA held a certification ceremony for accredited business schools. Mr. Andrew Main Wilson, CEO of AMBA & BGA, and Mr. George Iliev, Director of AMBA & BGA China, awarded WUT with the BGA Accreditation (Gold Status). This accreditation, recognized internationally as one of the “Triple Crowns”, is an important standard for assessing the strength of business schools and the highest honor for business schools internationally.
This conference featured 16 reports and 16 sub-forums, focusing on cutting-edge academic topics such as business and artificial intelligence, the development of business education in an uncertain world, management and strategy in business schools, and the uniqueness and differentiation of Chinese business schools. Speeches, discussions, and exchanges were conducted on these topics.
At the Chinese Business Schools Special Session Seminar, the representative from WUT’s School of Management introduced WUT’s distinctive educational features based on the three major industrial sectors: building materials, transportation, and automobile, elaborated on the progress of WUT’s proactive reform in development philosophy, internal governance, discipline construction, talent cultivation, faculty development, MBA program operations, educational management, curriculum development, and alumni services following BGA certification standards. Together with other representatives, they discussed the development direction of business schools in sustainable entrepreneurship education.
The MBA major of WUT receiving the Gold Status of BGA Accreditation is a significant milestone in WUT’s major development and internationalization. It further enhanced the international influence of WUT, promoted cooperation and exchange with top business schools worldwide, and laid the foundation for establishing a high-quality brand in MBA education in China.
