On May 15, 2025, the “International Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Education 2025” was successfully held as a parallel session during the 2025 World Digital Education Conference. The forum was attended by ten ministerial-level representatives, including Wu Yan, Vice Minister of Education of China; Samdech Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia; and Medellín, Minister of Education of Colombia. Approximately 200 participants—including representatives from international organizations, diplomatic missions in China, government agencies, universities, enterprises, and academic institutions—joined the forum. The event was a great success and played a positive role in enhancing the international influence of China’s education sector and promoting global exchange and cooperation. It was highly recognized and widely praised by all attendees.
The success of the forum would not have been possible without the strong support of your esteemed university. Secretary Xin Sijin actively organized and mobilized preparations; President Yang Zongkai personally participated in the planning and design of the event and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony; Vice Presidents Wang Fazhou, Luo Rong, and Mai Liqiang provided direct coordination and support. Vice President Wang Fazhou also delivered a high-level keynote speech on behalf of the university. The School of Foreign Languages, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and other relevant departments under your university worked closely together. Faculty members and students fully engaged in and completed numerous key tasks, including guest liaison and reception, production of conference materials, venue setup, and logistical support. Their wholehearted dedication ensured the smooth and successful operation of the forum and demonstrated your university’s outstanding political awareness, professional competence, and strong work ethic.

From May 14 to 16, the “2025 World Digital Education Conference,” jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of China, the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, and the People’s Government of Hubei Province, was held in Wuhan. During the conference, WUT co-hosted the parallel session “International Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Education 2025” in collaboration with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education.
Ten ministerial-level representatives attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches, including Wu Yan, Vice Minister of Education of China; Samdech Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia; and Medellín, Minister of Education of Colombia. Approximately 200 participants—including representatives from international organizations, foreign diplomatic missions in China, government bodies, academic institutions, and enterprises—gathered for in-depth dialogue and cooperation.
WUT’s leadership attached great importance to the event. The General Office and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges provided full support throughout the preparation and execution phases. The School of Foreign Languages played a pivotal role, with its leadership and a team of student volunteers offering well-organized, attentive, and detail-oriented service, ensuring the smooth operation of the event. Their exemplary political awareness, professional expertise, and work ethic left a strong impression on all participants. Through this event, WUT not only showcased the high caliber, interdisciplinary mindset, creativity, and international vision of Chinese university students but also contributed meaningfully to promoting China’s educational influence on the global stage. The university’s performance was widely praised and positively affirmed by conference attendees, further strengthening international educational cooperation and exchange.
